Always Decline All

I don’t expect this to get much traction, but after a lot of cookie and contact preference testing, I’d feel uneasy if I didn’t say something somewhere. I’ve been working in QA analysis for eCommerce for a while now, and my biggest takeaway is this: never, ever accept cookies. I’d strongly encourage people to inspect (Developer Tools → Console → Network) and see what’s actually being sent over XHR requests. You can then go a step further and set up local firewall rules to block data warehouse CDNs, such as the TikTok pixel and Google ad click tracking. When you see ten different “.js” scripts firing just to send your full name, address, phone number, email, and order number to dozens of different destinations, it really does make you lose faith in humanity. As someone who actively works on a large platform, please take this seriously.
