@mpjgregoire I don't know details of the current family. Henry Fox Talbot's full name is William Henry Fox Talbot (WHFT). The "Fox" comes from his mother's maiden name and title. She was the daughter of the Second Earl of Ilchester, and when she married a Talbot and had a son, "Fox" also became part of her son's name, as often happens in the English upper classes --- half family name, half middle name. Henry himself used it in both ways. WHFT lived from 1800 to 1877. He had three daughters and one son. The son was Charles Henry Talbot (CHT), 1842-1916. Note that "Fox" is gone from the son's name. CHT inherited Lacock Abbey when WHFT died in 1877. When CHT himself died in 1916, Lacock Abbey was left to CHT's niece, Matilda Gillchrist-Clark (1871-1958), granddaughter of WHFT and daughter of CHT's sister.
