Building an Accessible Custom Tab Bar
During my time at WeTransfer, I worked on making a custom tab bar in the app accessible. That is, make it work just like a native, out-of-the-box UITabBarController.
Whilst possible, it was far from straightforward. In this post, I talk about matching the built-in behavior, by supporting the Large Content Viewer as well as the magical (as you will see later) .tabBar trait.

Cheating the System for Fun and Profit (or how to use macOS Assistive Technologies to test in the Simulator) "Let’s take a look at how we can use macOS’s assistive technologies, like VoiceOver and Voice Control, as well as Hover Text, to more easily check some accessibility in the simulator, without having to deal with some shortcomings of the Accessibility Inspector. This will help you not having to always immediately run your app on an iOS device to test it… mostly." https://www.basbroek.nl/cheating-the-system-for-fun-and-profit
