I was a manager at AutoZone when I first got out of college like more than 10 years ago. They hired this kid that they wanted me to teach it to. The very first day I sent him to the Ford dealership to tell them that there Mercedes E-Class had ran out of turn signal fluid. He came back with a case of washer fluid and said they don't sell Mercedes there.

Friend built transmissions. They'd make the new guy ask about a vacuum modulator (for some Mopar that used a kickdown cable?). Except one dumb kid thought he'd outsmart them on the next parts run. So he wasted a half hour just sitting in the car. Imagine proudly showing up emptyhanded when a customer's car is tying up a lift.
