xdotool is sometimes used for games. Today I found a bunch of scripts for small tasks in games: Secret of Evermore (snes!), Club Penguin, Minecraft, Uncharted Waters Online, and Cookie Clicker.
If I ever pick up Magicka again, I'll probably write some tooling to make spellcasting sequences into hotkeys.
