there is just so much so much unexplored space for experimenting with disability and disabled bodies as surface for fashion, both the natural bodies themselves and the prosthetics that augment them. i think glasses are the only example of a fully culturally included prosthetic (if we ignore the idea of clothing as prosthetic in the first place). like, glasses ARE fashion, they are an accessory that we coordinate with outfits, that we chose to speak for us on our personality.
