I was a caseworker for Welfare. Right when I started it was obvious it was women & children that were the SNAP recipients. GOP had congress & it was time for the "Starve them into jobs" debate of mostly men, made me wonder how many had children they weren't supporting? Same debate about Food Stamps, if they're poor why are they eating steak & lobster or junk food. We were looking at the problem, someone said, "They're buying simple food cause they don't know how to cook or proper diet. /1
