Has anyone figured out a reasonable way to do this: https://pilaenergy.com but with already available products and some tinkering? I’m picturing #homeassistant knowing when to charge the battery when it’s cheap but don’t know if this kind of “pass through when flat” battery exists

@lukasm I mean an EcoFlow Delta 3 Plus (with extra battery) will basically do the same job at half the price or less. It also has somewhat better specs. If there’s grid power, it will run the load on grid power, plus some amount of charging. If grid power suddenly goes out, it will keep powering the load from the battery. I’ve found the (unofficial) Home Assistant integration to be a bit flaky though - specifically the AC ports get reset anytime the integration reloads, which is no good for me.
