@bakuninboys I bet more people might make *more* things, not fewer. I've had a bit more money since I paid our condo off, and I certainly have. Money stress, of whatever sort, is a TREMENDOUS drain. Also, most things that you do, cost. Maybe just a little bit, but when you're counting every cent, it adds up.

    @chicating Yes, exactly, and also, money is an abstraction. It's just a ruleset people have used to play the game in a "fair" way. The actual numbers don't matter, and in any game if there's an injury or whatever you take the players off the court. If the rules just made it so people could afford the basics, to eat and live, then people start doing things they want, and that's necessarily creative. Humans are gonna human! Also, that isn't just "things" as in objects, it's like, social interaction, friendship, games and activities. All of that "stuff" might just be free because people are doing it for fun. Now, it takes the pressure off society as a whole. We need to spend less to be happy, we have fewer worries, we get abundance through degrowth.
