At a certain point you have to realize that there isn&#39;t a single person or company you can trust with your data. Only you can take that responsibility. So don&#39;t give sensitive data to companies that don&#39;t deserve it. Really, none of them do. I&#39;ve been browsing @arstechnica and three of their top stories are about data breaches.

@thelinuxcast@fosstodon.org I know what you mean. That's the reason I just finally got myself a selfhosted #NextCloud server that I access via #Tailscale at the moment. Will be upgrading that to my own selfhosted #Wireguard at some point so that I'm dependant on fewer companies. Not that I don't trust Tailscale, it's just always good to selfhost IMHO.

Yunohost is pretty awesome and I use truenass to simply sync files across the network locally for different systems and since i use mainly linux, and some mac, and a windows pc for testing, i need file system interoperability across the whole shabanggg #/ lol
