@zed Didn't mean to imply you did... In any case, in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium or Hungary you both pay for it and there's not terribly many public toilets. In HU even some malls have pay-for toilets which I find outrageous. What a contrast to a place like Japan. (though there, the amount of toilets in a department store leaves a lot to be desired; but the general availability is pretty high... and always free)
