No legal structure No trademark ownership No clear governance By the looks of it, everyone could do as they pleased, which is a commendable attitude, but unfortunately, as the community has found out, there are always opportunists out there. He doesn't own the code, just the name. I had a similar situation a while ago when a local company, bizarrely, hadn't registered the domain name. A competitor bought it.
