@hughagraham yes (not me but a previous coworker)! some issue with dot (".") in s3 path.

@defuneste okay - i'm having weird issues with reading large s3 datasets - small chunks work but maybe something to do with the new shredding... not quite sure, i'm finding work arounds but its annoying!
