Oh boy: we're going to need a bigger, better word. Cory Doctorow's "enshittification" is one thing, but the systematic dismantling of thinking ("cognitive surrender") enabled by these LLM derivatives is mind-bending. The attached is from a LinkedIn post by someone from that Big M software company... Anyone who knows data analysis (remember "big data"?) will surely have had the same visceral reaction as me - ad hoc analysis of data in spreadsheets is a hopeless way to extract reliable insight.
