@silly@possum.city Sometimes registrars (such as Namecheap and GoDaddy, among others) have a shady practice in which a domain you found available earlier gets suddenly "registered" (domain parking): it's the registrar doing it so they can charge you a higher price for said domain. Not sure if that's your case, but I once heard about this practice of theirs. An advice is to search for domain availability through ICANN, instead of registrars, so the registrars don't get to know and seize the domain you're looking for.
