@kgoetz @vk6flab I got a response. We are sorry to hear this issue has caused you difficulty, and thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately the settings of the e-petitions IT system are mostly out of our hands. We will note the issue for the awareness of the responsible IT area in the Department of Parliamentary Services. However, requested changes to this system take many years to be actioned, if ever (in our experience). We would not expect to see this setting modified in the near future. The underlying IT is very old, and we are given to understand that it is not straightforward to implement even small changes. Thank you for your interest in the petitioning system, and I hope you are able to find a work-around.
