@the_grue @srslypascal Yes, people still use Gnome. But why do you care, if you don't use it? Where is all the hate coming from? Just don't use it and use your energy for sometihing different...

@petsoi @the_grue Over the last few years, I've spent an increasing amount of time and effort on yak-shaving vanilla GNOME into a desktop environment that I could consider reasonably usable according to my own standards. But I guess this has been the final one of a seemingly endless litany of ill-advised hot takes on UI by the GNOME project, and I've finally started migrating to the COSMIC desktop environment. There's still a few minor details missing, but I'm quite happy with it overall. 🥰
