They may be able to get the tariff money back eventually. It might take years but then it would be a nice lump sum they could use for their business.
Both raising prices and reducing profits has been going on in many industries here. It's visibility has been blunted by the selling off of inventory that they had that was bought pre-tariffs. That inventory has generally run out and now prices are going up.

@ysb33r Plus if I understand correctly they have found ways to get around the China tariffs sometimes. The easiest way, which may have been closed down, was to ship first to Vietnam then US. Vietnam bent the knee to Trump and got a low tariff rate. I think they are giving him a beach side Trump resort.
