@rek A lot of people that have visited me here in Iceland have ended up with the same rule. Do not buy Icelandic candy. Because there's a 90% chance there is licorice in it. It has happened quite often that I've bought Icelandic candy for non Icelandic friends as a gift only to end up eating it myself because they couldn't enjoy the licorice. Icelanders love licorice so much that the national doctor has issued warnings in the past and told us to chill with the licorice.

@esi @rek Those of us on heart medications are always warned against licorice. Too much and it can be life-threatening. But every now and then, I've given into the craving. I love it (too) much. I remember Australia used to have some killer licorice offerings... including salted.
