@johnnydecimal A bookmark is a "I acknowledge this thing may be important and relevent later; but not now". The problem is that browser UI is still the same dog-shit basic thing from two decades ago. When I "bookmark" a thing, dear browser; index that page, add meta data, and let me tag and full-text search my bookmarks! Be a custom search engine for topics I marked as "this'll be useful... later!".

    @mattwilcox @johnnydecimal Yep - I gave up bookmarking long ago. Where the browser fails, Obsidian steps in. I found paged.js interesting, and if I hope to find it when I need it, it’s worth a few seconds now to save it properly. Their own “about” paragraph contains all the keywords I’m likely to search for, so I pasted it in whole. Add a couple of relevant topic links, and done!
