@mawr@plush.city @kit@sharkey.kitredgrave.net I don't think that's meant to be Cranky specifically? He mentions that DK is his son, and IIRC Cranky is the current Donkey Kong's grandfather.
Which I guess would make the old Kong in the film a really old Donkey Kong Jr or something, but I seriously doubt Illumination thought about that as much as I did making this post.
