Theres good reasons support for running microG was never added
Security isnt great. Its questionable that it aids privacy. It downloads & uses proprietary Google libraries. All apps that interact with it run proprietary code which will connect directly to Google
microG support has to be maintained as AOSP changes. As GrapheneOS lives on the bleeding edge it would have to keep microG working with new android versions & QPR. Breakages could end up delaying OS security updates.
