@trinsec@trinsec.org haha nice.. I'm not much of a reader so I haven't read those, but people seem to love that series :) also I think the greek/roman(?) gods are similar in that they are very human, in that they can be very jealous etc, I like that. also that there are multiple gods is more fun than one :)

@bazkie@beige.party Yeah, I liked the gods in Xena as well. That's Greek. :) Just a random thought that occured to me. People in the ancient times had multiple gods, for multiple things so they can attribute certain events/things/traits to those individual gods. They all also have their own flaws, and it reflects humanity so nicely. It's the perfect way of projecting of the human nature. Then a bunch of people thought up the just-one-god thing, which is omnipotent, can do everything, never makes mistakes, and creates whole institutions around this one concept of a 'I am never wrong' type of deity. I'd dare say that religious corruption increased bigtime with the one-god concept, because it's never wrong so those institutions can never do wrong either. You can't defer to any other god so you have to be either suppressed, killed, or have to flee to somewhere else somehow where they don't do this one-god worshipping. Not that multiple gods are so great either but eh. Just a brainfart here. I really don't know where I wanted to go with this thinking. Just that religions suck, heh.
