So the latest political spat going on back and forth is fully designed to get maximum media time and publicity for both parties. It plays out as a sport, as light entertainment, as bait, as fodder. It serves no meaningful purpose in making anyone's life better. I still think the best approach from the left is to not give it oxygen. Don't share the media stories, don't talk about them. The only win for the left is to stop giving them oxygen, to not engage in the game. I mean, yes the game is fun: to ridicule, to enjoy the fallout, etc. But it doesn't help the cause. At all. #NZPol
