In many cases it turns to slop, in others, humans keep it within the proper parameters. We'll have to wait and see what remains after all is said and done; and it might not be FOSS after that.

    @AAKL@infosec.exchange @theregister@geeknews.chat @lproven@social.vivaldi.net two hearts are beating in my chest: 1.: Slop is slopping and FOSS might not be FOSS anymore. AI will eventually drown out creativity and we'll literally, physically unlearn how to be creative. 2.: AI will be just another compiler-layer in all things creative and since open source models getting better and better, AI-models will just be another domain in FOSS. To me I think the critical point is what you mentioned already: Do we have humans that understand how to keep (the use and development of) AI in proper parameters and are these ppl in positions to enforce these parameters? One can only hope the above will be understood by non-tech-persons in charge.
