It's the mental hurdle and "I don't have enough time" factor that keep me from putting out more mixes. Also last month the gigs were keeping me from playing those sets and even though this month I had just one weekend worth of sailing and gigs to recover from, that too slowed me down a bit and I was away from my decks in Sweden another weekend. Not to mention the literal darkness.
Sometimes I just also can't be bothered because I am not sure if anyone really wants to listen to it, because it's not some friends and other folks I'd give a CD or cassette these days. It feels less like I am really giving a gift to someone, which feels a bit sad.
That said, I do this because I like to do this, at least when I'm in that headspace when it feels good to be doing this.

I also recently got an Ecler NUO 5 from a 2nd hand marketplace and i feel like I should introduce some techniques that it allows me to do, like cutting and more precise drop transitions. With Omnitronic TRM-202 MkIII it was just blends basically and that works nicely provided you beatmatch pretty much everything and listen closely to the monitor output all the time, and you can not do any metering on individual channels - just master levels, which makes it hard to do anything else than blending nicely.
