@leo Is a bicycle an option? Again region-specific but you might be able to get a "trash bicycle" for free or nearly free on the used market. It obviously won't be in great shape but even if it barely functions at all, it would already make you a *lot* more mobile. Look out for local charity programmes. Where I live, there's a self-help bicycle repair shop where they give out volunteer-refurbished bicycles to those in need. Similar programmes might exist for other basic necessities (too).
