@haverholm I'm thinking that too. But is a confluence not maybe also a technology? Based on your definition, is a hard drive a technology?
In a way this answer might be a subjective, if there is an answer at all.

@ephemeral The answer very much depends on the discipline or field you come from 🙂 Like books, I think of hard drives as media, extensions of our memories. But there's also an argument to be made that you or me reading a book is different than a hard drive being read by a computer, because reading triggers cognitive processes beyond scanning the verbatim text. So "book technology" could be an interface for human cognition?
