@eq @arclight Not surprised about your friends in Sweeden. Sweeden is still a leading country when it comes to unions*, meaning the social infrastructure, knowledge, and support for unionization is readily available. It's a much shorter, much safer leap than being a trailblazer. I can't argue with the "Same issues as the rest of the country", since every tech worker here is part of the same system as the nurses and sales associates... but I would argue that "Recognizing just how deep in a cult you are, figuring out which views were from said cult, and figuring out a new, healthier way forward even when your friends and family are in the same cult" is an advanced social skill in and of itself. https://www.soc.lu.se/en/article/sweden-world-leading-union-membership-despite-declining-union-density
