@Jerry @TheZorse Proton doesn't like Mastodon? Wouldn't that be a bad idea for Proton? I mean, I really don't know! It's kind of odd that Proton would not list their Mastodon account on their website? I like Proton. Maybe it's a scam account of some kind?

@Skwerlgyrl @TheZorse @protonprivacy is definitely official. #Proton never closed the account; they just stopped posting to it after their announcement to leave Mastodon, until recently. But they haven't made any official announcement that they are back. So who knows? As for not liking Mastodon, the reason they stopped posting was officially that they lacked the resources to have social accounts everywhere, although they seemed to keep their social accounts that are just about everywhere, except for Mastodon, even on platforms I never heard of. It may be because of people carrying on on Mastodon, as people tend to do on Mastodon, about a comment made by Proton CEO Andy Yen He wrote something that many interpreted as being MAGA supportive and others interpreted as his seeing something good in just one thing the Republicans did (maybe mistakenly) as it relates to controlling Big Tech.
