@zbrown @only_ohm @dallo @Khrys I have no reason to doubt that the software was originally named as a reference to the BDSM scene in Pulp Fiction. Makes sense & seems plausible, to me!👍 My claim that the software was named *after* the slur was simply an awkwardly-worded attempt to indicate that 'gimp' had been used as an insult in the US for many, many years before the software or Pulp Fiction existed.
