@GoodNewsGreyShoes @Khrys @dallo Looks like the Concise Oxford English Dictionary has that definition starting with the 8th (1990) edition, but doesn't label it as derogatory until the 10th (1999) edition. Somewhat oddly, the 7th (1982) edition has a definition of "gimp" as "courage". (There are digitized copies of all those editions on .)
