Imagine going out of town for like a week and the moment you leave your self-hosted mail server goes down and you can’t send or receive emails the entire time

wake on lan and ssh is a given for any homelab, and you can always use a backup email for sending. Also, isn’t it possible to automatically redirect to a backup email? If yes, then you must only make sure the forwarding server never goes down.
