@float13 For better or for worse it isn't :)
While these events are triggered by lightning inside the cloud (that doesn't connect to the ground), this only happens very rarely and is therefore really hard to observe.

@float13 From above, most lightning looks just like the diffuse flickering you see at the beginning of the video.
