Yeah, here to third that. Why do you have this as "skip it"? It's a great collection, interesting history on its own, and also a great place to visit when the Boston winter is feeling long and dark and gray.

@mattdm I think this 'why skip the izzy' question is perhaps directed at me, and my awesome-boston site? I've written about this elseweb, but: My highly personal hot take is that the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum is over-rated. While some people *love* it, I find the collection and the space to be dull and be stuck, when I need my art intake to inspire. What works for you in that space? I'm open to having my mind changed, if there's a piece that captivates you or something, I'll give it a shot next time I have to visit.
