Regarding a post from me from some time ago about matrix not correctly saving read messages, it seems its actually a problem of the cinny client specifically. I tried already deleting all data etc., but it doesn't fix itself. However the messages that are marked unread are not marked unread in other clients, so thats why i say its not a synapse issue
