I'm not sure I follow the logic. Why would it be cheaper to run it at home versus what the costs are in the cloud 🤔.
People are using cloud for traditional servers all the time although it's way more expensive. Why wouldn't the same go on with AI.
Maybe 5 dollar AI will pop up like vpsses

@ville @dave @nathan @martin Some of it's cost I think since your not paying for tokens but you need very expensive hardware to run anything powerful at home. or your just playing around. I haven't tried any local LLMs since I don't have a machine to dedicate to it and I heard the local ones suck at coding which is what I'm using them for. Privacy is another selling point for running local.
