The unfortunate thing about being an ex-conspiracist is that a lot of the cruelty in the world has simple explanations. None of them comforting, but they all boil down to money, power, and stupidity. Dunning Kruger effect is the greatest cause of so much of this. Israel genocide? stupid and power. Pete Drunkseth? stupid and power. Shuttering science? money and power. DEI = bad? stupid and power The dumbest of us are now being told they're absolutely correct by AI too. The dumb merry-go-round
