    Netiquette, some unwritten rules: Before sending a message to a newsgroup, always read the preceding messages for at least a week, so that you don't get mixed up on a discussion that you don't know anything about. (Unwanted comments? On the Internet? I'm shocked, shocked!) Try not to criticize behaviors that may seem odd to you, as in other countries they might be entirely natural. Don't write in CAPS. On the Internet, a phrase in CAPS is a shout. UNDERSTOOD? The official language of the Internet is English. (馬鹿外人...) Don't send the same messages to many different newsgroups, even if they're focused on similar topics. This is called spamming and newsgroup users hate it. 🧵
