I just learned that D&D 5e has a monster named "pit fiend" that I never knew about in my 1e bubble. My pit fiend is based off an old monster minis set produced by Grenadier back in the 1980s under a separate label. Their Fantasy Monsters set had a "One Eyed Pit Monster". In my Etinerra campaign, a pit fiend is a homebrew monster of Chaos.
