@piraat If we're throwing baseless accusations around, you're acting like one of those cyclist-haters who would ban them from public spaces because old ladies drop dead at the sight of them, and who thinks it's your right to just step out in front of traffic without even looking.
Causing a fright is not ok. Physical harm is rare.
39 people have already been killed on the roads in Ireland this year alone. I doubt any were killed by a cyclist.

@ravenbait Has it every occurred to you that you're doing nothing here to improve the reputation of cyclists that you seem to think is under threat. All I've done is voice how I feel as a pedestrian (and for the record I don't own a car so you can't use that angle), you could respond to that with dignity rather than conspiratorially looking for a fight. We're not mutuals, you didn't need to stick your oar in. You will now be muted.
