@baoigheallain @clickhere a bell doesnt fit on my new handlebars, and ive taken to saying a cheery 'hello, beep beep!' as if im shooing little tots off the cycle path. Generally works

@AoifeGreenhamIllustrations @baoigheallain Hahaha! I love that. The odd time, if I can't reach for the bell (trying to keep hands on the handlebars and stay upright or whatever) I just call out "Erm, ding-ding..!" It gets people's attention, anyway. 😄

@AoifeGreenhamIllustrations @baoigheallain @clickhere Where I am, bikes need a "sound signalling device" to be street legal, so even though the custom is to holler "passing on your left" or "good morning" or whatever, there still needs to be a bell attached and visible.
