529.2k blocked requests in the past 24 hours, and I made a few more rules against inauthentic traffic patterns so that’s only going up. The number goes up every time I check it. Just hurts to think of all the electricity being wasted on scraping half a million Cloudflare captcha pages.

This post by @SharpLimefox discusses the same attack we saw against The Apple Wiki last week. The visualisation of the IPs is crazy to see, but honestly I’m more impressed their low-end VPS handled this volume of traffic just enough to, eventually, block them via iptables. As for us, 408.57k requests blocked at the firewall in the past 24 hours. It’s still going. Quite a lot more traffic overall, but >80% of it is hitting the Cloudflare edge cache. https://vulpinecitrus.info/blog/one-in-every-2000-ipv4-visualizing-ddos-ai-web-scrapers/
