@cpurdy Ah, interesting context (about Ads). When I interviewed him for the book, he made only passing reference to getting hired onto AdWords. He'd wanted to join the Mobile team (not Android, which was quite small and secret), but he wasn't given a choice. So he put in 2 years on AdWords and switched to Android when he could.
