There is something delightful about working on something fiddly that’s intended to be maintained / repaired, and for which a detailed service manual is available. Overtightened screw at a previous (professional) service had left sewing machine needle threader broken. Just enough clearance to replace with M2.5 nut and bolt bypassing ruined threads in the plastic clamp. The newer version replaces this plastic fitting with a metal one, but you have to buy and swap the whole needle assembly.
