My case for using privacy frontends (i.e Invidious and NewPipe for Youtube) is less about service providers tracking my steps and more about them using said information to bombard me with recommendations for baubles and propaganda. Using corporate social media is eerily close to getting blackmailed, or picking up a hammer that possesses you into slaughtering the woodshop teacher.
