When people say that both parties are "the same", this is what they're pointing out: neither party has any particularly steadfast commitment to the US Constitution, US law, equity, or even humanist ideals. Both are almost entirely comprised of a combination of ideologues and cynics. The only difference is that the ideologues of the GOP are MAGA paleofascists, and the ideologues of the DNC are neoliberal neofascists. The cynics are literally *the same people wearing different skins*.

The "cultural" conflicts that the parties espouse are a function of the cynical wings of the parties. They give the appearance of difference, with juuuust enough substance to not be obvious cons, so that the two can plausibly engage in "competition" to get elected. But when Abigail Spanberger shows her scaly, snake-like skin by sticking her boot on the throat of the poor in her State, it's not a *mistake*. It's simply her cynical ass doing what all cynics do: saving that scaly skin.
