The #BlueSkyOutage is why I still rely on and prefer Mastodon for my social media. I'm on Bluesky, but giving all control to one company is not what I want again. There is always a chance an instance goes down, but not the whole #Fediverse.

@jae@mastodon.me.uk to be precise, your user data is on a PDS which can be operated by Bluesky, but also by Blacksky, Eurosky or by yourself. There are also a bunch of different web frontends that you can choose from, in case some web frontend fails.
