45th read of 2026: My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite Such a propulsive novel that I read this in two sittings. I might’ve read it in one, if I haven’t actually needed sleep. The short chapters, combined with Korede’s straightforward narration, even as everything is filled with nonsense, keep the pace. The emotionality was also skillfully doled out in very strategic and thoughtful flashbacks. We, the readers, may like any of this, but we also understand Korede and her titular serial killer sister, Ayoola.
