@leafeon @eri @AmyZenunim From my own experience trying some new medium, the most important skill as an artist is not technical ability, but an unreasonable ability to not rage quit the moment something goes wrong, the ability to just shrug if something "looks off", and knowing when it's better to conclude a project befor it makes you hate the whole hobby. The institutional pathway is mostly good at teaching you shame, in my experience and opinion.

@leafeon @eri @AmyZenunim Also, usually people that make the strong argument for insititutional learn are the people that have Never Utilized The Skill and are Still Just Learning. It can turn into a rather nasty form of procastination.
